Satin
Satin - a very dense and soft long-staple cotton twill weave fabric, with a sheen reminiscent of silk. It wears out more slowly, retains color well. This fabric is easier to iron, so for those who do not like to iron, it is better to choose satin bedding. Traditional satin is 100% cotton fabric, but you can also find it on the market with the addition of polyester fiber. Such a fabric is stronger, but it absorbs moisture worse and during washing the surface becomes covered with small cotton balls - in popular terms, it bubbles.
We currently sell plain PREMIUM satin and patterned satin.
Knitwear
Knitwear - easy to drape, soft, well-fitting, and creases little. Due to these properties, it is very suitable for fitted sheets, as it ideally fits the mattress. Knitwear can be either 100% cotton or with larger or smaller synthetic impurities. The thinner or rarer the knitwear, the more it stretches and over time the bedding may look messy and stretched. Therefore, we advise you to choose bedding made of thicker and more elastic knitwear so that you can enjoy the impeccable appearance of your bed linen for as long as possible.
In our assortment you will find ready-made thick knit sheets with elastic in various sizes and colors.
Flannel
Flannel - a shaggy, cotton, medium-thick fabric with fluff. The fabric is fluffed on both sides until a soft fluff forms on the surface. This makes the fabric fluffy, soft and gives the impression that it warms better. However, this fluff is slowly washed out when washed, eventually clumps together and the bedding no longer looks so nice. A denser flannel is more wear-resistant.
Flannel will retain its fluff longer if washed on a gentle cycle. It will not pill longer if it is placed in a bag during washing, which will cause less friction with other laundry. If you buy a slightly more expensive flannel with a cut pile, it will be just as soft and will not lose its good appearance even after many washes.
Transfer
Percale - also called percale, is a thin and dense fabric, with a soft texture, woven in a plain weave. It can be either 100% cotton or a blend of cotton and polyester (usually 50% cotton 50% polyester). Percale is a very dense (significantly denser than linen), smooth, strong and non-shiny fabric. Plain or printed, it is perfectly suitable for making bed linen.
Crumpled fabric
Ironed fabric - can be both 100% cotton and mixed fiber fabric with different proportions of cotton and synthetics. If the fabric composition is 100% cotton, then it will have all the properties of cotton fabric, but it does not need to be ironed, which is its biggest advantage. Also, mixed fiber ironed fabric - the properties are the same as ordinary polycotton, the only difference is that thanks to special processing, the fabric does not need to be ironed. But it should be noted that not everyone likes the rough surface of the fabric.
Silk
Silk. Natural silk fabrics are made from the cocoons of silkworms, that is, from caterpillars. Mulberries reproduce naturally in nature or can be cultivated by humans. The highest grade of silk is considered to be roving silk, woven from long threads spun from the raw material inside the cocoon. Such threads can be up to a kilometer long.
Silk clothes are fun to wear in any weather - they warm you up when it's cold and cool you down when it's hot. All silk fabrics absorb almost half their weight in moisture. They also quickly absorb moisture evaporated from the skin's surface. However, sweat can leave permanent stains on silk, causing the silk to break. Silk clothes and bedding are best cleaned in dry cleaners, as it fades significantly when washed.
Canvas
Canvas - a plain weave cotton fabric, the woven right and wrong sides of which are the same. Bleached, dyed or printed, it is most often used for bed linen and sheets. Bedding made from it will last a long time. The quality and strength of the fabric depends on the thickness of the thread and their density. According to the finish, unbleached, semi-bleached, dyed and printed canvas are distinguished. Unbleached (green), bleached, dyed and printed thin canvas is suitable for sewing both bed linen and summer clothes because it is perfectly breathable and absorbs moisture well. White, thicker yarn canvas is intended for sheets. The most valuable is dense canvas with thin threads. Embroidery made from canvas is strong, absorbs moisture well, hygienic, conducts heat, is beautiful and easy to wash. It will last a long time, but is wrinkled and difficult to drape.
We have a very large assortment of plain and patterned canvas.
Cartoon
Cartoon - a thin, plain or printed, medium-weight, plain-weave cotton fabric. Usually made of medium-coarse yarn. Used for summer clothing or nightwear. Can also be used for bedding, but this fabric will last a shorter time.
Damask
Damask - the highest grade of satin. It is a luxurious fabric, shiny like satin, made of very fine yarns, woven using jacquard technology - alternating weaving of warp (longitudinal thread) and weft (cross thread), creating massive relief patterns. Most often, the patterns are the same color as the background, but can also be woven from threads of different colors. Such bedding sets are considered luxurious.
Mixed fiber fabric
Mixed fiber fabric (polycotton) - a mixture of cotton and synthetics, which is not as durable and durable compared to 100% cotton, but is very easy to iron, wrinkles less, and dries faster. The different ratio of cotton to polyester in the fabric has a significant impact on the quality. If polycotton contains only 15% cotton, then this fabric is almost synthetic and the properties of cotton are almost imperceptible, but 65% cotton makes polycotton fabric significantly higher quality. However, these fabrics are less permeable to air and moisture, and their biggest negative property is that they become frayed and pilled over time.
Linen
Linen is a rarer, coarser, heavier and very durable fabric. It is indispensable in the summer, as it evenly disperses moisture and maintains a uniform body temperature. In winter, linen pleasantly warms. It also has antibacterial properties, suitable for people with allergies. It is breathable. Since linen fabric is very heavy and extremely frizzy, its care and ironing are more complicated.
Lyocell
Lyocell (Tencel) - is a functional fiber derived from nature. It is made from wood that is taken only from strictly controlled forests, limiting the cutting of trees. It is of botanical origin, extracted from wood pulp, so the fiber decomposes in nature without any negative residual effects. Tencel fabric is environmentally friendly, comfortable and soft. It combines the good properties of other fibers: it absorbs moisture better than cotton, is soft like silk, warm like wool and cool like linen.
Microfiber
Microfiber (or microfiber) is a synthetic fabric, it is not silk or satin. It is a combination of polyamide and polyester fibers, which is thinner than all natural fibers, even silk. It is 100 times thinner than a human hair. Using special technology, microfiber is woven into the fabric. It can absorb 7 times more moisture than its own weight. Thanks to special processing, this fabric is soft and pleasant to the touch, so it is often confused with satin or even silk. However, like all synthetic fibers, microfiber is very electrifying and, if you do not want to wake up with frizzy hair, it is better to choose natural fiber bedding.
